GROOMING

Grooming is an essential part of your dance training, assisting in the establishment of discipline.

MAKE UP FOR PERFORMANCES

Make up for performance is applied heavier than everyday makeup, this is so faces can clearly been seen by the audience under the strong stage lighting. Our makeup basic requirements would be :

Female students :

  • Foundation that is one shade darker than normal skin tone – which is normally mums color

  • Blue (for our little ones) or brown eye shadow

  • Mascara and black or brown eye pencil (only if your student is comfortable)

  • Contoured cheeks

  • Red Lipstick

Male students :

  • Foundation that is one shade darker than normal skin tone

  • A little Brown eye shadow, Brown eye pencil and blush

  • Lipgloss

Male makeup is done lighter than for females, however is still required so they don't look washed out on stage.

Please note that Preschool Students are not to apply lipstick prior to rehearsals and performances. It is just too messy for their lovely costumes, so we will apply this before students go on stage for their performances. All lipstick is applied with a disposable cotton tip.

Please remove any jewellery, tattoo stickers and nail polish prior to your child's Dress Rehearsals and Performances. Small sleepers and studs are acceptable, however they must be very small.
